Last updated 10 August 2026Who is responsible for your information
Helen Tinner Photography is responsible for personal information collected through this website and for photography enquiries and bookings. The business is based near Stowmarket, Suffolk and works with clients in Suffolk and across the UK.
For a privacy question or request, email helen@helentinner.com or telephone 07985 001 534.
Information this website collects
When you send an enquiry, the website collects your name, email address, optional telephone number, chosen service, message and consent confirmation. It also records the page or campaign that led to the enquiry so Helen can understand its context.
When you arrange a consultation, Calendly processes the details you enter, the selected time, time zone and the service you want to discuss. Client galleries are provided separately through ShootProof and are subject to the privacy choices and access settings on that service.
Vercel hosts the website and supplies anonymous Web Analytics and Speed Insights. The site does not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, enquiry messages, payment details or booking-session identifiers to analytics.
Why the information is used
Contact and service details are used to answer your request, prepare a quotation, arrange a consultation or take steps towards a photography agreement. Information about confirmed work is used to deliver the service, communicate with you and meet accounting or legal obligations.
Anonymous site and performance information is used to understand which pages are helpful, identify technical problems and improve the website. Optional technologies are used on the basis explained in the cookie policy and, where required, your choice.
The legal bases Helen may rely on are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing an agreed contract, complying with a legal obligation, and legitimate interests in responding to genuine enquiries and operating and improving the website. Consent is used where the law requires it for an optional technology, and can then be withdrawn for the future.
Details needed to respond
Your name, email address, chosen service and message are required to send a website enquiry; the telephone field is optional. If the required details are not provided, the website cannot send the request to Helen.
This website does not make decisions about people solely by automated means and does not use enquiry details for automated profiling.
Service providers and international processing
The website uses Vercel for hosting, analytics and performance measurement; Resend to deliver enquiry emails; Calendly for consultation scheduling; and ShootProof for client galleries. Stripe code is present but customer checkout remains disabled until the payment service and sales terms are ready.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Helen selects established providers and relies on their contractual safeguards and data-processing terms where applicable. Their own notices explain their processing in more detail; you can contact Helen to ask about the relevant safeguard and how to obtain further information about it.
How long information is kept
Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, booking, commission, client relationship, security and applicable accounting or legal requirements. Different records need different periods. You can ask Helen about the period applying to your information or request deletion where the law allows.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to its use, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis being used.
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you have a right to object. Tell Helen why you object so the circumstances can be considered; the right is not absolute in every situation.
Contact Helen first so the request can be handled. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Photography involving children or sensitive settings
School, healthcare and other sensitive commissions require project-specific agreements, permissions, access controls and image-handling arrangements. This public website notice does not replace those safeguards or the relevant client contract.
